Top Ten Ways to Spot a Time Traveler

Awhile back M.I.T. hosted a time traveler’s convention that allowed any time travelers to attend and even allow them to be “incognito to avoid endless questions about the future.”

There even have been photos proving the existence of time travelers:

Which begs the question: how do you know if you are walking next to a time traveler? Wouldn’t it be incredibly useful to talk to this person?

Top Ten Ways to Spot a Time Traveler

  1. A time traveler will never wear goggles or dress up in modern clothing. (Exception to the rule is the amateur traveler noted above)
  2. They will be hesitant to eat any food or beverages for fear of contamination or consuming something that the future will know is entirely dangerous. (Watch how they react when you down that can of Coke!)
  3. They will smirk when you discuss the rising cost of living.
  4. If you are flying on a plane they will be the passenger that will be pacing back and forth in their seat and mumbling “Can’t this travel any faster! 563 miles an hour is so slow!”
  5. When you show off your latest model of smart phone they grab it with wild eyes and shriek “I never have seen these in working order before!”
  6. They will be extremely rich (and probably working in gambling or the stock market)
  7.  They won’t take pictures or use a phone because they will have a phone and camera implanted in their brain.
  8. They will accidentally refer his or her siblings as clones.
  9. They will sing you an amazing song that sounds incredibly new and original and just shrug that it wasn’t a big deal.
  10. They will  refer to you in past tense.
